Who We Are

Klassy Kats of Butts County is a state-licensed, nonprofit, all-volunteer cat rescue based in Jackson, Georgia. Our mission is simple: save lives, improve feline welfare in our community, and help cats find loving forever homes.

Unlike large shelters, we do not operate a physical facility. Instead, every cat and kitten in our program is cared for in a dedicated foster home where they receive individualized attention, socialization, and love while they prepare for adoption. This foster-based approach allows us to better understand each cat's personality and help match them with the right family.

We work closely with Butts County Animal Services to save cats and kittens in need. Once a cat's required stray hold has been completed and foster space is available, we are often able to bring them into our rescue program. We also assist with urgent situations whenever possible, including orphaned neonatal kittens, nursing mothers, and other vulnerable felines that need specialized care.

In addition to traditional adoptions, Klassy Kats proudly operates Klassy Kats Kritter Katchers, our working cat (barn cat) program. These fully vetted cats may not be suited for life as indoor companions but can thrive in barns, workshops, stables, warehouses, and other environments where they provide natural rodent control while enjoying a safe place to call home.

Beyond rescue and adoption, we are committed to improving the lives of community cats throughout Butts County. Our volunteers support Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) efforts and periodically host low-cost spay and neuter events to help reduce feline overpopulation and improve community cat welfare.

Every cat we rescue is made possible by the generosity of our supporters. As a completely volunteer-run organization, we rely on donations, foster families, and volunteers to continue our lifesaving work. We receive no government funding, and every contribution directly supports the cats and kittens in our care.

Our Mission:

Klassy Kats is a no-kill cat rescue organization dedicated to providing a healthy and safe environment for felines that have nowhere left to turn in Butts County and have been owner-released. Felines that come into our rescue are fully vetted prior to finding loving and permanent homes through our adoption process.

We are committed to reducing the overpopulation of cats in the Butts County" kommunity" by using a pro-active approach of promoting low-cost spay and neuter programs, along with educating and assisting the community with Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) projects.
